1781 Sep. 24: Jacob Holderman, Sr., began service in Revolutionary War as a Private in Capt. Carrells Company. (Penn. Archives, Fifth Series, V. 5, p. 538, and p. 544.) He is listed in the DAR Patriot Index.

1799 Jun. 23: This date of death is suggested by Magdalena Holderman's will which is on file in Chester Co., PA.
1799: Guardians were appointed for the minor children of Jacob and Magdalena Holderman (John, Abraham and David). First was John Rinehart of Coventry Twp. (Orphans Court Docket, Vol. 10, p. 142), then Griffith Griffith, who might have been the brother of their paternal grandmother, Sarah Griffith Holderman (Orphans Court Docket, Vol. 10, p. 171).
1799 Sep. 18: Jacob Holderman, Jr., petitions the Chester County, PA, Orphan's Court for settlement of his father's estate, to be divided between himself (Jacob, Jr.), Stophel (Christopher), John, Abraham and David. (Chester County Orphan's Court, Vol. 10, p. 148)
1802: Christopher arrived in Pickaway Co., OH. William Brothers' "History of Franklin and Pickaway Counties, Ohio," (p. 251) indicates that he came from Chester Co., PA.
1804 Apr. 3: Jacob Holderman, Jr., after buying all of his father's land from his siblings, sold the land to Samuel Sowder for £614, 18 s., 6 d. (Deed Book W 2-45-569) After selling this land Jacob and his brothers went to Ross Co., OH.
1807 Jan. 13: Abraham Holderman married Charlotte O'Neal in Ross Co., OH. Their marriage record is on file there. (Continued on their own family group sheet)
1810: Christopher is listed on the Pickaway Co., OH, Tax Rolls, p. 13. John is listed on Tax Rolls for Dayton Twp. (Montgomery), OH, p. 6.

1838 Feb. 22: Christopher Holderman died in Salt Creek Twp. (Pickaway), OH. Buried in Baldknob Cemetery on Monnet Land there.
1838 Mar. 3: Letters of administration for the estate of Christopher Holderman were file at Circleville (Pickaway), OH. The estate was settled in April 1841.
1855 Jan. 16: John Holderman died near Vandalia (Montgomery), OH. Buried in private burying ground on Sunderland Farm, Butler Twp. (Montgomery), OH.
1857 Feb. 26: David Holderman died in Colerain Twp. (Ross), OH. Buried in Hallsville Cemetery (Ross), OH. His will was recorded in Chillicothe (Ross), OH, and names his wife, Rebecca Holderman, and children Levi, Francis, Oliver, and Eliheu.
